New Improved Services at Teldoc

11 August 20241

One of the Government’s key aims is to reduce waiting times and improve access to general practice, as part of this work, we introduced Health Co-Pilot earlier this summer which is now fully operational.

The next phase of this work is to improve our telephone system so that it can fully support and enhance our care navigation and clinical triage systems and improve access and experience for patients. .

One of the new key features will include the Call back option which will save your place in the queue.

Upgrades to our telephone system will commence 14th August 2024.

What this means?

This means telephone access via telephone to Teldoc will be temporarily unavailable from 12 noon, we are hoping to restore services early afternoon. During this period Health Co-Pilot, other online services, local pharmacies and 111 are available.

Thank you for your patience?

These changes scare me. I see them as another way to distance patients from the service. Are other GP services following this approach to their delivery of their services to their patients. I do all my banking, income, everything on line. But this scares me. There’s too much to navigate and it is going to exclude a lot of patients.
